Airport Medical Transfer
Sometimes illness gets the best of you at exactly the wrong moment. You are flying out, or you have just landed, and suddenly the distance matters. To be clear about what this is: it is not an ambulance transfer. It is our quick response vehicle with a paramedic beside you — and it costs a fraction of what a full advanced life support transport into the city costs.
How you get this
Members get this at member rates. Outside organisations and non-members can arrange it directly — just call for a price.
We run to Tocumen in the city and to Río Hato locally, arriving or departing. The paramedic travels with you with monitoring and equipment on board, so if your condition changes during the drive there is already somebody qualified sitting next to you rather than a call to make.
Before the trip we do a full workup of your medical conditions and medications. That matters twice over: our paramedic knows what to watch for and how to treat you if something starts, and if you do end up needing a hospital they can hand the staff a clear account of who you are and what has happened — rather than you trying to explain it while unwell and in a second language.
Our crews know this coast. If something happens en route, they divert to a facility that can actually treat what you have, instead of simply the nearest door.
That is the whole value of it — peace of mind arriving or leaving, for a fraction of the cost of an ambulance.
